I started this project by creating my own graphics for the social media post - I knew that I wanted to create fun, cartoon-ish characters that were all part of a consistent theme. I used adobe illustrator to make these characters.
After creating my characters, I used Adobe Express to create the different slides for my social media post. I wanted to be able to create a social media post that was fun and creative, but also informative about an important topic.
After creating the social media post, I created a scroll story using Figma. To me, the scroll story served as the follow up to the social media post - it was a more in-depth version that conveyed the same message. The scroll story was challenging yet rewarding because the medium I used had changed and I had to figure out the best way to make my story user friendly. I decided to use many of the graphics I had used in my social media post and also made new ones in the same style so that my social post and scroll story were part of the same theme.
